The Shop

Trading since 2005 the 1000 sqf shop space of Designs Of Modernity can be found in its own separate basement area at Crystal Palace Antiques and Modern in south London. A large four floor former Victorian warehouse in the heart of Crystal Palace SE19 which is home to around twelve dealers with different speciality areas. It's open seven days a week.

At Designs Of Modernity we bring in a high volume of new pieces every week. New stock often comes and goes quite quickly, so for the most up to date news of what's new, please check the 'new arrivals' box on the home page. Please get in contact if we haven't yet uploaded pictures of anything you're interested in, and we will email you some as soon as we can. Our extensive travels within Europe, and once a year to the United States mean we can always help to source pieces you may be on the lookout for.

We pride ourselves in stocking quality, simpahetically restored, and often totally reupholstered classic orginal items.

All our lighting stock is fully PAT tested and rewired to comply with modern standards.

We have recently done fit outs for;

Furniture also supplied for recent ad campaigns for Toshiba, Sandersons fabrics and the new Batman film.
